Meryl Lubran
Graduate Student
Meryl Lubran is in her third year as a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Nutrition and Food Science and is a Research Assistant with the Joint Institute of Food Safety and Applied Nutrition (JIFSAN) located at the Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition (CFSAN). Her major area of study is food policy, and her research focuses on food safety risk communication. Meryl has a M.S. in Food Science from Cornell University and a B.S. in Food Science from the University of Maryland. Prior to starting her Ph.D., Meryl worked for two years as a Scientist in the Dry Packaged Desserts Division at Kraft Foods in Tarrytown, NY. Meryl has been a member of the Center for Risk Communication Research team since 2007.
