Vanessa Boudewyns-Paquin

Graduate Student 

Vanessa Boudewyns-Paquin received her M.A. and B.A. degrees from the University of Minnesota and is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Social Influence & Persuasion. Her research focuses on health communication and risk behavior; in particular, risky sexual behavior. Her research concerns the application of behavioral theory in designing health interventions and understanding health communication effects. She is also interested in the cognitive processes underlying risk behavior. Some of her current work with the Center for Risk Communication includes extension study of the Risk Perception Attitude (RPA) framework to predict information seeking behavior and knowledge retention based on varying levels of perceived risk and self-efficacy.
